Tech Center San Jose: CEOs discuss the South Bay’s evolving technology culture

With skyrocketing office prices and housing costs in Palo Alto, Mountain View and San Francisco, companies are beginning to look to downtown San Jose as emerging powerhouse for Silicon Valley’s future growth. As a city with a 1 million population, reserves of developable land, a major university, museums and cultural institutions and a deep heritage in Silicon Valley, San Jose seemingly has it all but has not experienced the kind of frenzied activity that has taken place just a few miles to the north. Downtown’s culture is one piece of the puzzle and is now getting more attention from civic entrepreneurs trying to create a sense of place for startups and established companies, and their employees.

CEOs of Downtown San Jose companies will discuss their experiences and their thoughts on the future in this session moderated by the Knight Foundation’s Danny Harris.
